四、教学过程

(一)导入

1.播放歌曲《Music of Sound》;板书The Present Continuous Tense。

2.让学生看视频答题;出示问题

What is Pluto (the dog) doing ?问学生Can you guess who is the main character of the video, a boy or a dog?

3.播放视频。再问:What is Pluto doing ?

4.出示视频中出现的现在进行时态句子,用红色字体强调两个句子中的“be doing”部分。

5.出示问题What tense do we use to talk about things happening now?

出示答案The Present Continuous Tense(现在进行时态),并带读一遍英语。

设计意图

1.凝神、起兴,营造英语学习氛围。利用学生熟悉并喜爱的英语歌曲、教师行为等来调动、吸引学生。

2.激趣。初中一年级的学生对视频的热情非常高,迫不及待的想观看,注意力高度集中。教师适时的提问意在培养学生的视听学习策略。

3.培养自信心,提高参与热情。初一学生具备现在进行时态的部分知识,学习参与热情较高,但学习英语的自信心仍不够,齐答的方式利于培养其自信心,提高参与课堂学习的热情。

4.唤醒固有图式,培养阅读策略。颜色的差异意在让学生自己感知和关注目标语言的结构。

5.点题,培养语法意识。根据语言认知规律,初中是整体接受语言结构的时期。适时教学语法概念,利于学生将其与语法结构相连接,固化于自己的图式,为以后的语法教学及学生自主学习语法打好基础。

(二)呈现

1. 让学生看三段视频回答同一个问题What is happening in the video?(播放视频1.)

2.出示视频中出现的现在进行时态句子,并用红色字体强调“be doing”部分。

3. 播放视频2、3(同样在学生观看每段视频且抢答后出示视频中出现的现在进行时态的句子,并强调“be + doing”部分)。

4.领读本环节3个句子和“be + doing”部分。

设计意图:感知语言范本和语用功能。在视频中,学生看见一些正在发生的动作,听到并看到完整的含有目标语言的句子,这有利于学生在语境中理解、感知、学习语言形式的含义和功能。同时,本环节采用抢答的形式,有益于激发学生的好胜心和表现欲、调动学生的参与热情。此外,本环节继续隐性教学目标语言结构“be + doing”部分的同时,自然呈现了“be”的变化,旨在让学生比较熟悉“be + doing”结构后开始关注结构中新的要点,符合认知规律。

(三)训练

1.让学生看两幅有提示词的图画并

举手回答问题What is happening in the picture?让举手的学生回答问题并出示正确的句子,用红色字体强调“be doing”部分。让学生齐读本环节2个句子,并领读“be + doing”部分。

2.出示4副图和对话提示A:What

are they doing in Picture 3? B:They….让学生同伴问答。一分钟后,让4个大组学生各呈现关于一副图的对话。每个大组学生呈现完毕,出示对该图的准确描述并用红色字体强调“be + doing”部分。

3.介绍Lucy家庭的相关背景:Lucy

是中学生;弟弟Tim5岁;家有6个人一只猫;时间是7pm;全家人都在家里开心地做着爱做的事。出示8个动词和一个例句:Is Kitty watching TV? 让学生猜测Lucy家庭成员分别在干什么。学生猜错,教师说:No, he isn’t/they aren’t.学生猜对,教师说:Yes, he is/they are. 同时链接到相关画面:正在做某事的图片和完整的现在进行时态句子,句中“be + doing”部分用红色字体强调,且用蓝色强调“doing”中“ing”部分和“doing”是如何由“do” 加“ing”而成的。

设计意图

1.控制性操练,充分调动学生的表现欲。导入和呈现部分的大量铺垫已经充分激活学生对目标语言的认知,加上本环节图片伴有提示词,此刻他们回答问题的自信心十足,但是图片不多表现机会就不多,因此学生的表现欲被充分调动。同时,本环节帮助学生在运用中学习语言范本、体会语言表意功能、内化语言结构,为语言自由运用提供保障。

2.准确性和流利性训练。在学生目标语言知识掌握较充分、参与热情较高的前提下,本环节学生需要根据图片选用恰当的词,并试着用词的正确形式来描述图片中正在发生的事情,旨在训练目标语言运用的准确性和流利性。此外,本环节也有益于学生发展交际策略,提高学生的英语学习成就感。

3.解决问题的需求性操练。本环节采用功能聚焦和情境教学法、竞猜游戏的方式,既符合语言自身的特点,又符合学生的特点。学生在图片和背景信息营造的真实情境中大量高频地根据解决问题需求运用目标语言,既达到练习目标语言的目的,同时促进学生的自主参与。学生操练现在进行时态的一般疑问句,顺便唤醒对于一般疑问句回答的图式,同时在掌握本时态陈述句完整结构的基础上,开始关注动词变现在分词的方法。此外,学生在选用所给提示词进行预测的过程,也又有益于发展学生的预测能力。学生每猜对一次,成就感、自豪感、学习英语的乐趣感还都进一步提高。

(四)应用

1.集中出示Lucy全家的活动图片,

让学生根据图片和提示词完成描述他们正在做什么的短文;叫几个中下等成绩的学生板书答案;与全班学生一起订正答案。让学生齐读短文。

2.让学生4人一组,观察并用6-8句话描述英语课堂;为有需要的小组提供及时帮助。2分钟后,请各组代表作汇报发言。

3.让各小组以Our English Class为

题,每个学生写1-2句话,商讨认为本组句子无误后,与其他小组交换批改。为有需要的小组提供及时帮助。

2.出示上述环节中出现过的现在进

行时态陈述句、特殊疑问句、一般疑问句及回答各两句。让学生齐读句子。

4.让学生4人一组总结所学关于现

在进行时态的知识。出示提示:现在进行时态的用法、句子结构,现在分词的变化规则。

《通知》涉及《贵阳市初中学业水平考试英语听说能力考试实施方案(试行)》、《贵阳市初中学业水平考试信息技术、音乐、美术基本素养测试实施方案(试行)》、《贵阳市初中学业水平考试物理、化学、生物实验操作技能测试实施方案(试行)》、《贵阳市初中毕业生毕业考评及结果运用实施办法》、《贵阳市初中学业水平考试体育考试评分标准(试行)》等5个文件,对各科目的考试目的、命题依据、测试结果运用、分值、测试方式与范围等作了具体安排。《通知》显示,初中毕业生毕业考评包括综合素质评价和课程学习评价,结果以等级呈现。其中,综合素质评价内容包括思想道德、学业水平、身心健康、艺术素养、社会实践、特长发展等6个方面;课程学习含语文、数学、英语、物理、化学、历史、道德与法治、体育与健康、生物、地理、信息技术、音乐、美术13科。其中,贵阳市2018级及以后的应届初中毕业生英语听说能力考试由全市统筹,着重考查学生在听说任务中运用语言的能力,包含语言知识、听说技能、文化意识、思维品质、学习能力等,考试满分为30分,答题时间约30分钟。信息技术、音乐、美术三个学科满分均为30分,每场次上机测试包含信息技术、音乐、美术三个学科,每场次测试时间共计30分钟,测试结果按参加测试人数划分等级,原则上设A、B、C、D四个等级。英语听说能力,信息技术、音乐、美术测试均安排在九年级第一学期期末进行。物理、化学、生物实验操作技能测试中,生物实验操作技能测试对象为八年级学生,物理、化学实验操作技能测试对象为九年级学生,每科每场(组)次测试时间为20分钟,实验操作技能测试以合格、不合格两个等级方式呈现。

贵阳市初中学业水平考试体育考试从2019年秋季入学的七年级学生开始,由统一现场考试和体育综合素养评价两个部分组成,统一现场考试项目采用“1+N”的模式进行,“1”为必考长跑项目,“N”为其他体育考试项目,分别安排在七、八、九年级的下学期进行,共计40分;体育综合素养评价为10分,总分为50分。

1、英语将增加听说能力考试自2018年秋季入学的七年级学生开始实施记者注意到,贵阳市教育局《贵阳市初中学业水平考试英语听说能力考试实施方案(试行)》,明确了考试命题依据、考试能力要求、考试题型及结构等内容。《方案》提到,贵阳市初中学业水平考试英语听说能力考试以教育部印发的《义务教育英语课程标准(2011年版)》为依据,以贵阳市现行中学英语教材为依托,主要考查初中毕业生的英语听力理解及口语表达水平,着重考查学生在听说任务中运用语言的能力,含语言知识、听说技能、文化意识、思维品质、学习能力等。《方案》明确,英语听说能力考试在九年级第一学期期末进行,试题按照国家课程标准及省教育厅相关规定命制,由市教育局统筹安排,按照题型相同、难度系数相当从试题库中随机抽题组卷,制卷及评分由计算机软件系统自主完成。题型含听力、朗读、表达三种类型,考试答题时间约30分钟,满分为30分,其中听力题为15分,朗读题为11分,表达题为4分。据了解,该《方案》自2018年秋季入学的七年级学生开始实施,考试成绩与英语笔试相加之和为英语科最终成绩,计入初中学业水平考试总分,是学生毕业和升学录取的重要依据。

2、将增加理化生实验操作技能测试据贵阳市教育局下发的《贵阳市初中学业水平考试物理、化学、生物实验操作技能测试实施方案(试行)》(下称《方案》),贵阳市2018级及以后的应届初中毕业生,有意愿报考贵阳市普通高中、中等职业学校的往届初中毕业生均可进行测试。《方案》指出,将物理、化学、生物实验操作技能测试纳入贵阳市初中学业水平考试,旨在突出自然科学学科特点,充分发挥学科育人功能,培养学生创新精神和实践能力,强化贵阳市初中学校实验室建设,深度推进初中物理、化学、生物学科实验教学改革,培养初中学生科学探究的意识、方法、技能,培养学生创新精神、思维能力、合作意识,促进学生全面发展。据悉,生物实验操作技能测试对象为八年级学生,物理、化学实验操作技能测试对象为九年级学生。测试均由贵阳市教育局统筹部署,各区(市、县)教育局具体组织实施。市教育局根据《义务教育课程标准(2011版)》规定的学生实验内容,选定其中若干项作为各学科待选测试实验项目,如《制作并观察植物细胞临时装片》、《测量物体运动的速度》等,测试前1个月由市教育局从各学科待选测试实验项目中随机抽选一项作为当年该学科实验技能测试项目。同时,每科每场(组)次测试时间为20分钟,实验操作技能测试将采取学生分组现场实验操作、监测人员现场评定的方式进行,并根据《贵阳市教育局关于高中阶段学校考试招生制度综合改革试点工作的实施意见》(筑教发〔2018〕161号)的要求,结合贵阳市实验教学的现状,以合格、不合格两个等级方式呈现,并将其作为初中生毕业和普通高中招生录取的依据。

本学期我有幸旁听了市骨干教师培训班中的两节听说课示范课。两节课分别为七上Unit6 SecB(1a―2c),以及九上Unit9SecB(1a―2c),这两节课给了我很多启发,下面就谈一下通过这两堂课的学习,进而对于英语听说课的思考。

一、两节课的设计思路

(一)七年级

1.引入。食物单词展示(音标、图片)(拓展)让学生根据更多的图片或自己的学习情况说出更多的关于食物的单词。通过“Words challenge”这一活动,让学生对食品进行归类并学习单词breakfast,lunch,dinner等。

2.听前。学生操练句型,学生用所学句型谈论自己的一日三餐。完成1a。

3.听中。①完成2a。(听一遍。老师指令:只听出食物名称)。②完成2b。(第一遍,老师自己设置环节,学生听,用划“V”和“X”的方式完成表格,选出对话中人物喜欢和不喜欢吃的食物。第二遍,完成书上2b,填空。第三遍,学生再听,检查答案。)

4.听后。①(机械性操练)运用2c中所给句型,学生自己编对话。②(机械性和意义性结合操练)A:What does Sandra like for breakfast/lunch/dinner?B:Sandra likes eggs,apples and bananas for breakfast/lunch/dinner.③(活动,即意义性操练)Guessing game。

5.小结。

(二)九年级

1.引入。①开门见山表明主题,用有趣话题引导学生思考和食物相关的信息。②从学生熟悉的单词过渡到新单词,为后面单词练习做好铺垫,通过1a―1b的活动,让学生熟悉和运用不同食物口味的单词,并能顺利地完成练习。

2.听前。用表格分解重难点,让学生明确听力重点,为后面的听力做好铺垫。

3.听中。通过不同方法分解听力内容,降低难度。第一遍听人名、时间和地点,完成表格;第二遍听细节,识别句子的真伪;第三遍学生再次熟悉听力内容,检查答案;第四遍给暂停,保证学生有足够时间填写句子,最后形成土豆片历史的小故事。

4.听后。引导学生运用听到的内容自由谈论土豆片的历史,再次运用目标语言操练进行半开放性的说话练习,为开放性说话练习打基础。并且开展小组活动,运用目标语言进行开放性的说话练习。

5.小结。通过小组讨论,说出来源于中国的食物,激发学生的爱国热情,升华主题。

二、反思

(一)反思1:如何在听说课中体现英语学科素养?

1.在听说课中,最主要的是要训练学生听的素养和说的素养。

新课标中对七年级的听与说的要求有:听:①能识别不同句式的语调;②能根据语调变化,判断句子意义的变化;③能识别语段中句子间的联系;④能听懂学习活动中连续的指令和问题,并作出适当的反应⑤能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段;⑥能借助提示听懂教师讲述的故事。说:①能在课堂中用简短的英语进行交际;②能就熟悉的话题进行简单的交流;③能在教师的指导下参与简单的游戏和角色扮演活动;④能利用所给提示简单描述一件事情;⑤能提供有关个人情况和个人经历的信息⑥能讲述简单的小故事;⑦能背诵一定数量的英语小诗或歌谣,能唱一些英语歌曲;⑧能在上述口语活动中语音、语调基本正确。

新课标中对于九年级的听与说也提出了明确的目标要求,即,听:①能根据语调和重音理解说话者的意图;②能听懂有关熟悉话题的谈话,并能从中提取信息和观点;③能借助语境克服生词障碍、理解大意;④能听懂接近正常语速的故事和记叙文,理解故事的因果关系;⑤能在听的过程中用适当方式作出反应;⑥能针对所听语段的内容记录简单的信息。说:①能就简单的话题提供信息,表达简单的话题提供信息,表达简单的观点和意见,参与讨论;②能与他人沟通信息,合作完成任务;③能在口头表达中进行适当的自我修正;④能有效地询问信息和请求帮助;⑤能根据话题进行情景对话;⑥能用英语表演短剧;⑦能在以上口语活动中语音、语调自然,语气恰当。

2.听和说素养培养在不同阶段的共性。

对比这两堂课,虽然年级不同,内容不同,教学对象不同,但对于学生听与说素养的培养思路却有着其共通性,严格以大纲要求为准则,不只是为听而听,为说而说,更重要的是将大纲要求与教材内容相结合,不是为了学习教材,而是灵活运用教材,最终完成学生所应达到的素养目标。在如何说和如何听的过程中进行指导,这样的方法引导才更能伴随学生以后的学习。在七年级的课堂中有这样一个小细节,老师在对2b答案时,想拿一本学生的书用来投影,那个小男生很不好意思,因为在他的表格里不是填的单词,而是符号,学生这个无意识的举动很可爱,虽然他没有写完单词,但这样的标注反而体现了他的听力素养,即我们在七年级甚至更高年级强调的速记能力。

(二)反思2:如何规范初中英语听说课?

对比两堂课,我们可以找出听说课的一些共同点,规范初中英语听说课课型,在一种科学和规范的模式下挖掘教材,培养学科素养。这一模式即,1.引入。扫清障碍,确立听力期望,激活背景知识,展示话题,激发动机,引入部分绝不能缺少。2.听力三步骤(听前―听中―听后),听前和听后可采取机械性操练、半机械性/意义性操练,交际性操练。而听中定要抓住信息理解5W(Where,What,Who,Why,How)、辨音、大意、细节、推理理论、猜词、记笔记、交际信息辨析、选择注意力等要素,对任务的解释必须准确,要让学生知道听什么。

在教学之初,我区教研员曾向很多老师指出:“你的课没有入格。”什么是入格?为何一堂课中,教师又听写单词,又说,又写,又听,甚至还有练习,但教学有效性不高。究其根源,就是没有听说课规范课型的意识。本文中两位老师为我们直观地展示了听说课的规范思路。七年级的这堂课,学生说得充分,听得也很充分,为下节课3a教学做好了铺垫,相信下节阅读课,学生的阅读素养也会得到充分锻炼。

这位有经验的老师给了我们启示,对整个单元的把握,让学生在每一堂课有重点的得到听、说、读、写的有效训练。九年级的这堂课,这段听力材料语速很快,若流于形式,学生的听和说无法得到有效训练。九年级授课教师以5W入手,层层深入,学生不仅听懂,而且能掌握如何描述某种新发明的发明过程。对听说课课型的规范,是提高教学有效性的途径之一。

三、结语

示范课固然不能照搬到自己的课堂中,但能带给我们教学思路的启发,俗话说“三年反思成名师。”虽不能成为名师,但学习和反思的力量不可忽视,让我们共同在学习和反思中成长。

中小学教学衔接是当前课程改革的一大热点问题,各个学校都在通过多种途径方式,开展各种教研活动,努力探索衔接的有效策略,使中小学教学尽量“无缝”衔接,为实现学生的可持续发展奠定基础。

现在中小学的英语衔接教育面临不少问题。首先,小学与中学的英语教学内容脱节。长期以来,大多数中小学英语教学缺乏一贯性,部分小学教师不了解七年级英语教学的内容和目标,不清楚初一学生的英语学习基础,经常出现重复教学的现象。其次,中学学习要求与七年级新生认知结构冲突。小学英语教学,中学生听、说、读的训练较多,对于写的训练较少,教学偏重流利性;中学英语从七年级开始就十分注重“写”,注重准确性。以单词默写为例,七年级开始阶段,学生单词默写错误较高,很多词汇学生能口头表达,但是不能准确书写。最后,七年级新生英语两极分化严重。在经历了小学四年的英语学习后,有些学生学习习惯良好,对英语学习有浓厚的兴趣;一些学生可能因为小学英语学习的挫败感,对英语学习失去兴趣。在重新培养学习兴趣上,中学教师存在较大的教学压力。加上中学与小学在教学方法和评价方式上有很大不同,学生两极分化的现象更加严重。正因如此,中学埋怨小学,没有为学生打下良好的英语学习基础,小学埋怨中学过于注重知识传授而忽略了英语学习的趣味性。

刚刚进入七年级的学生还不太会学习,没有形成适合自己的学习方法,在记忆单词、阅读和听力时提取信息有困难,有意注意的时间较短,学习兴趣相对不高。以上提及的诸多问题中,我认为,如何通过有效的方法指导激发学生学习英语的兴趣,是促进中小学英语衔接的关键,也是教师急待解决的问题。下面我将通过自己执教的一堂市公开课,以听力教学为例,探讨这一问题。

案例分析:这是一节综合技能课,课文主要介绍足球运动员李华的情况,并组织学生谈论自己喜欢的运动员,让学生了解描写一个人应从哪些方面入手,为后面的写作做准备。如何帮助学生掌握听力方法,帮助他们搭好学习的支架,在这节课中,我围绕通过有效的方法指导激发学生学习英语的兴趣这一目标,选取了学生感兴趣的材料,结合课文内容,在听力方法上做了详细的指导。

Warm up阶段,我设计了多样化的问题适应不同层次的学生。Lead-in阶段,我以自己的profile为例,介绍了自己的姓名、年龄、外貌、爱好等,帮助学生初步了解介绍人物的几个方面;创设本班体育老师与姚明比赛篮球这一情境,激起学生口头表达的欲望;教授新词birthplace/a member of/score/win。在新词教学过程中,体现音形义的结合,语音教学体现以旧带新,并用语音规则认读新的单词,如由more/before/store教授新词score;关注合成词教学、分音节记忆、如何加后缀构成新词等构词方法的指导。

七年级的学生有意注意的时间一般较短,很难在课堂上一直保持注意力集中。有意注意是指有预先目的、必要时需要意志努力、主动地对一定事物发生的注意。这是一种有预先目的的注意,目的越明确、越具体,有意注意就越容易保持。也就是说,在进行教学活动前,帮助学生明确和加深对教学任务的理解是强化教学效果的关键。

在pre-listening阶段,我指导学生在文中找到部分已知信息,并以表格留白的方式,指引学生关注空白处要填的信息,这是对听力任务的再次强化。听前给予学生一段听力小提示:“Before listening,we can guess some information.It helps!”(听前猜测助理解。)

“While listening,we should pay attention to the key words.”(听时抓住关键词。)

“After listening,we need to review in time.”(听完及时回头看。)

听力提示是教师为学生搭建的学习支架,降低了学习难度,弱化了学生对大段听力材料的心理恐惧,让学生扶着支架稳步前行。有了听前充分的准备和铺垫,在while-listening阶段,学生能根据关键词快速获取信息,完成练习明显感到轻松许多。在post-listening阶段,开展采访对话等多种形式的活动,帮助学生巩固知识,提高运用能力。Speak up部分注重输出,以体育明星的information card组织教学,贴近学生生活。前面的听力部分让学生能说会说,生活化的话题让学生有话可说。

通过听力方法的指导,学习支架的搭建,学生很好地完成了本课的教学任务。遵循认知规律,循序渐进,这样的教学设计能很好地保护和激发了学生学习英语的兴趣。在教学过程中,教师应当给予学生及时准确的过程性评价,七年级起始阶段更应以鼓励、表扬为主,及时发现学生在课堂上的闪光点。苏霍姆林斯基说:“请你任何时候不要忘记,你面对的是儿童极易受到伤害的极其脆弱的心灵。”教师的表扬、鼓励会给学生带来学习上的快乐和满足感。只有在心理上拉近学生与英语学习上的距离,英语学习才会事半功倍。

在衔接阶段的英语教学中,教师要争取做到:一是研究学生的心理,估计学生的困难;二是激发和保持学生的兴趣,做好支架的铺垫;三是指导学习方法,提高学习效率;四是进行积极的评价,及时鼓励表扬。在教学中反思,在反思中总结,在总结中进步。我相信,只要为学生搭好学习的支架,帮助学生形成有效的学习策略,英语学习就一定会化难为易,扬帆起航。
