《Journal of Genetics and Genomics》本刊是中科院遗传所和中国遗传学会共同主办的全国性学术期刊，1974年创刊，2000年改为月刊，96页。国内外公开发行。我刊是中国百种自然科学核心期刊之一，在我国生物学界拥有良好的声誉和广泛的读者与作者队伍，所刊登的高水平论文被国内外多家检索系统收录。
《Journal of Genetics and Genomics》1996年和2000年均获中科院优秀科技期刊二等奖，1997年获国家优秀期刊三等奖。目前中、英文稿件均可刊登，欢迎广大海内外作者用英文撰文投搞。读者对象为：农林牧渔业、基础医学、动物学、植物学及生化等方面的科研、教学、管理人员、图书情报人员和大专院校师生。
